About Queen Victoria
Queen Victoria: Elegance and luxury perfectly combined.
From 5 May to 4 June, Queen Victoria entered dry dock for a partial refit at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo, Sicily. This included an upgraded and increased choice of staterooms, new Britannia Club dining, a broader and more distinct bar offering, a transformed sun deck, and several other new features.
Queen Victoria's cuisine is as varied as it is delicious. The Grills restaurants offer exceptional dining for Grills guests and the Britannia and Britannia Club restaurants serve freshly prepared dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a small supplement try The Verandah for French specialties. Alternatively, for more relaxed dining with live entertainment, visit the Lido deck for al fresco dining - perfect for sailing around the Mediterranean.
Tempting food and drink to excite the senses.
You'll find an exciting array of restaurants and bars on board Queen Victoria. The Grills Restaurants offer the most exceptional food and service at sea and the grand Britannia Restaurant reflects the classic golden age of ocean travel. About Southampton, England Port
There is perhaps no more culturally significant port in the world, so book a cruise leaving from Southampton if you want to be part of the spectacular maritime history of this part of the world.
Southampton was the port from which the Mayflower set sail for the United States and was also used as a strategic location during the Second World War. A cruise leaving from Southampton allows you to visit the New Forest National Park which dates from 1079 and would have been the exclusive hunting ground of the Royal family in the days of old. The city is also close to other spots of interest such as Bargate which was built in 1180 and is a wall meant to encircle and protect the city. The history doesn’t stop there however, and you can also visit the Tudor House & Garden which is just like stepping back in time to the 1500s.
Put simply, when you book a cruise from Southampton, you will get to experience some of the great heritage of old-world cruising while enjoying all that this part of England has to offer.

It depends on which itinerary you choose. Some cruises will focus on the Eastern Mediterranean and visit countries such as Greece, Turkey, and Croatia. Others will focus on the Western Mediterranean and will likely sail around Spain, France, and Italy. The best advice is to check different itineraries and see which one is the right one for you.
High season lasts from April to October although you can sign up to travel at any time of the year. If you prefer warm weather then April, May, September and October are good choices as it can get very hot in the summer months. In the winter temperatures can drop quite significantly although if you prefer colder weather then this can be a good pick.
Most travelers chose to wear casual wear as part of a cruise. Some events such as a Captain’s Dinner may require some formal wear so it is best to check this with the cruise operator when you book. Note that many churches in the Mediterranean have strict dress codes and visitors should take care to wear long trousers and cover their shoulders if they want to enter.
This depends on the kinds of activities you want to join as part of a cruise to the Mediterranean. If you plan to spend time swimming then you will need to bring a range of swimwear and if you want to go hiking then you will need some good walking shoes or boots.
